FAN Take is a series that highlights trending events, issues, and decisions in the world of sports and analyzes how they may or may not factor into the Fan Controlled Football League. We would love to hear your feedback, so let us know what you think about each FAN Take!

Thanks to Hall of Famer Mick Foley, the WWE just unveiled their 24/7 Championship belt on Monday Night Raw. The belt is defended 24/7, meaning that as long a referee is present, someone can challenge the holder for the belt anytime and anywhere, including across all of WWE’s brands. We’re just going to put this out there: that is NOT a belt we would be trying to defend based on looks alone. We’re not the only ones who think so, as WWE fans took to Twitter to make their disappointment known. “Great idea, HORRIBLE belt” seems to be the sentiment fans are sharing, with some going as far as to redesign the belt altogether. Fans aren’t the only ones taking aim at the design of the belt. Waffle House was quick to point out that it CLEARLY looks like it belongs in one of their restaurants. Now we’re just waiting for the WWE and Waffle House to give the fans what they want: a 24/7 title match to be held IN one of the thousands of Waffle Houses across the country.

Fans, what do you want the FCFL Championship trophy to look like? Do you want something timeless like the NFL’s Vince Lombardi trophy? Do you want to see something gaudy, like the Stanley Cup (which also serves as an excellent chalice…just something to think about)? Would It be comical to give an entire team of large, burley guys something small enough to fit in the palms of their hands? Or are you imagining something unlike any trophy you’ve ever seen before? After all, this is the first league of its kind, so it’s only fitting that we do something completely unique. No matter what your preference is, let us know!
